What cell responsible for protein synthesis?
- DNA
- Golgi appratus
- Nucleus
- Ribosomes
Ribosome are the structure s responsible for protein synthesis using amino acids delivered by tRNA molecules.
They are numerous within the cell and can take up as much as 25% if the cell.
Ribosome are found free floating in the cytoplasm which reside alongside the nucleus.
Ribosomes translate messanger RNA into chains of amino acids that become proteins.
Ribosome themselves are made of protein as we as rRNA .
Golgi is the site of protein maturation
however it is not the site of protein synthesis.
DNA provide the instructions for protein to be made but DNA does not make protein itself.
