The choice is a consequence of tetrad formation in meiosis
- causes diversity
- determines gender
- causes non-disjunction ( improper separation in anaphase , not recombination that cause non-disjunction.
- causes transcription (transcription is entirely different process involved in protein expression )
The crossing over or rearrangement of chromosomal section in tetrads during meiosis, result in each gamete having a different combination of alleles than other gametes.
